Professor Robert Clark

Former Speaker Robert Clark serves as Distinguished Visiting Professor of Political Science under the purview of the Delta Research and Cultural Institute (DRCI). Professor Clark is available to give special lectures to social and political science classes at the request of professors. In addition, Professor Clark conducts a annual series of Delta community-wide forums in a number of Delta towns include Yazoo City and Durant, sponsors special political forums with MVSU SGA leadership, and engages in other initiatives in connection with the work of DRCI. Doubtlessly these activities have enhanced the politico-intellectual climate of the University and has contributed to intellectual growth of our students. speaker Clark has been instrumental in coordinating a Political Leadership Forum each semester. Dates for the forum are determined at the beginning of the academic year and placed on the university calendar. The nature and content of the forums are established by Clark and have included presentations by state and local public officials, alumni, academic authorities or others. Speaker Clark also serve as a DRCI liaison to organizations involved in continuing the work and celebrating the life of Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer, and works with DRCI to develop initiatives that complement the efforts of the Delta Revitalization Task Force that he chairs.
