WIOA - Workforce Innovative Opportunity Act

WIOA is a program designed to help students finish school and find employment. Mississippi Valley State University is a training provider under WIOA and collaborates with the Mississippi WIN Job Center to assist students in applying for funding. 

Program Requirements:

  • Must be fully admitted to MVSU
  • Approaching or in the last three semesters of school
  • Must have at least a 2.0 GPA
  • Must be a resident of Mississippi
  • Must be working on first Bachelor’s Degree

Special Notes

  • Students receiving full Pell Grant are not eligible for WIA funds
  • Students residing outside of the Delta should contact their area WIN Job Center for funding availability
  • WIA pays up to $2,000.00 for tuition and books
