Ranger Challenge Team

The Ranger Challenge team is an elite group of highly motivated and dedicated Cadets. Sponsored by U. S. Army Cadet Command, this is the "varsity sport of Army ROTC." Ranger Challenge builds squad-sized teams from colleges and universities in a given geographical area to compete against each other in a series of military skills tests.

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to all Cadets, however the competion allows for only 10 members. Cadets are expected to participate in Ranger Challenge at least once prior to attending Advanced Camp. Through a rigorous physical training program, the Cadet Ranger will become stronger, and more tactically inclined than their peers

Competition Events

The Ranger Challenge events include a written patrolling test, physical fitness test, 10km road march, weapons assembly and disassembly test, and land navigation are just to name a few. Ranger Challenge training culminates each fall in a Brigade competition at various forts/camps. Ranger Team members who compete in the competition are awarded the coveted Ranger Qualification Ribbon.

The team goes through up to six days of intense training per week until the competition. It is open to all Cadets who want to be a part of a challenging, hard working team.
