We are aware that a case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been confirmed in Greenwood/Leflore County, Mississippi. According to the Mississippi State Department of Health, one confirmed presumptive positive case has been reported by the Greenwood Leflore County Hospital. The individual is reportedly a woman who is isolating at home. The woman had no history of travel but had reportedly been in contact with those who traveled from an area of transmission.
In light of this new development, we want to ensure you are prepared and educated regarding the disease.
COVID-19 is a new disease and we are still learning how it spreads, the severity of illness it causes, and to what extent it may spread in the United States. The virus, however, is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
