Children’s desire to read is a major concern for teachers in nowadays’ classroom because the benefits of the love of reading is life-long. Not only the exploration of literature helps children with cognitive and language developments, books can also serve as the window to take them into other worlds that expand their horizons. However, which books are likely to have immediate appeal for many children and which ones might require introduction or encouragement along the way? Each day in this five day online workshop, participants will spend two hours discussing one genre using popular books among teachers and children.
