Advantage of Residential Living

At Mississippi Valley State University, residential living is more than just a place to stay—it's an opportunity to thrive. Our residence halls are vibrant communities where learning, leadership, and lifelong friendships flourish.
Why Live On Campus?
1. Convenience
All residence halls are located within walking distance of academic buildings, the library, dining hall, student center, bookstore, recreational areas, and essential offices. This proximity saves time and increases opportunities for involvement and academic focus.
2. Academic Support
Living on campus gives you access to professors, tutors, academic advisors, and assistance programs. Many halls also include computer labs and quiet study areas to support your academic success.
3. Cost-Effective
On-campus housing includes electricity, cable, and internet—no hidden hookup fees. It’s a budget-friendly option without compromising comfort or connectivity.
4. Community & Friendship
Build lasting friendships and enjoy a supportive environment with peers who share your academic and personal interests. You'll be part of a meaningful community that fosters connection and collaboration.
5. Leadership Opportunities
Residential life encourages student growth through leadership roles in Residence Hall Council and other student-led initiatives. Seminars, workshops, and hall programming help students gain valuable skills and experiences.
