The Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area (MDNHA) is pleased to announce over $155,000 in grants for nine projects focused on cultural and heritage development in the Mississippi Delta.
Mississippi Valley State University is reaching out to the Hispanic community of the Mississippi Delta with its Hispanic Initiative.
Members of the university visited Locus Benedictus in Greenwood recently for, “A Day with Valley” which was the university’s way of connecting with potential students and their families to share with them all that MVSU has to offer.
Michael Taylor, coordinator of the event and Executive Director of Enrollment Management and the Greenville Higher Education Center said, “It was a great turn out for the institution’s first event.”

Mississippi Valley State University recently opened its doors to members of the U.S. Marines and other military personnel. Military personnel will be housed in two residence halls on the Itta Bena campus through August.

Mississippi Valley State University was the place for him, much like it had been for his brother Byron, and their father, Marshall, who attended the university when it was known as Mississippi Vocational College.
