Gasby keynotes symposium on Alzheimer’s at MVSU

ITTA BENA, Miss.—Mississippi Valley State University welcomed author and Alzheimer’s advocate Dan Gasby last night during its Graduate Read-in Symposium, hosted at 6 p.m. in MVSU’s Science and Technology Center.

Gasby’s wife, the iconic model and restaurateur B. Smith, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2013. Since then, the couple has been open and transparent about their experiences grappling with the disease. 

Dan Gasby to keynote MVSU Graduate Read-In Symposium Nov. 19

ITTA BENA, Miss.—Author and Alzheimer’s advocate Dan Gasby will be on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University to give a keynote address on Alzheimer’s disease during the Fall 2019 Graduate Read-In Research Symposium. 

The symposium will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Mary E. Crump Auditorium of the MVSU Science and Technology Center. The event will be preluded with a research poster session at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Science and Technology Center. ​

The event is free and open to the general public.​
