WIOA

WIOA is a program designed to help students finish school and find employment. Mississippi Valley State University is a training provider under WIOA and collaborates with the Mississippi WIN Job Center to assist students in applying for funding. 

 

APPLY IN THREE (3) STEPS

1. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be fully admitted to MVSU
  • Must be working on first Bachelor's Degree
  • Approaching or in the last three semesters of school (Juniors - Seniors)
  • Must have at least a 2.0 GPA
  • Must be a resident of Mississippi

Special Notes

  • Students receiving full Pell Grant are not eligible for WIOA funds
  • Students residing outside of the Delta should contact their area WIN Job Center for funding availability
  • Students are responsible for contacting their local WIN Job Center to schedule a WIOA assessment
  • WIOA pays up to $2,000.00 for tuition and books

3. WIOA  APPLICATION  The Office of Human Resources must have a completed application on file prior to contacting  your local WIN Job Center to schedule a WIOA assessment.
