Biography

Dr. Kathryn Green, received her Ph.D. in history from Indiana University and has B.A. degrees in both French and History from the University of California at Davis where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She oversees a student-alumni oral history interview initiative for the program. Her current research focuses on two projects: one on historical memory in American culture surrounding the Emmett Till murder and a second on convict labor in Mississippi following a federal court case that led to a restructuring of Parchman prison.
