Benjamin Arnold

Benjamin Arnold is Associate Professor of Music at Mississippi Valley State University, Itta Bena, Mississippi. He received his Doctorate in Music Education from Boston University and his Masters degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Tennessee where he studied with Keith Brown and F. Michael Combs. He received a Bachelor in Music Education degree from Ohio University where he studied with Guy Remonko, Roger Braun, and Eric Patton.  

Dr. Arnold has performed with various artists including Corey Harris, Carl Allen, and blues legend Bobby Rush. He has also performed with various ensembles including the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra, the Welsh Hills Symphony Orchestra, and the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Arnold is a founding member of the Three Sides Percussion Trio and can also be heard on A Look Inside, with guitarist Larry Vincent. He is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and the National Association for Music Education. Dr. Arnold also serves as an artist/clinician for the Sabian Cymbal Company.
