  4. Use technology as a tool to manage information

• To use quantitative methods to collect, analyze, and interpret data

  1. Synthesize data presented in graphical displays

  2. Use algebraic manipulations to solve problems

  3. Translate from word expression to mathematic symbols and expressions

• To apply critical thinking and problem solving skills effectively

  1. Formulate a hypothesis

  2. Draw valid conclusions based on available facts

  3. Recognize factual information, valid inferences and assumptions in argument and reasoning

  4. Determine the relevance of information for evaluating an argument or conclusion

  5. Devise a strategic approach to a problem and its solution

• To demonstrate an understanding of cultural diversity in a global society

  1. Identify the values, beliefs, and views of other cultures or artifacts

  2. Identify the contributions of diverse cultures to regional, national, and global society

  3. Explain the impact of globalization on the world’s societies

  4. Recognize creativity, artistic expression and imaginative thinking

  5. Examine the history of art forms and their significance on society
