Student Vaccination Incentive Program

Students enrolled at Mississippi Valley State University in the Spring 2022 semester, who get vaccinated against COVID-19 at any approved location (on or off-campus), are eligible to receive $250.

The COVID-19 vaccination is free for everyone! For a list of vaccination sites, visit Mississippi State Department of Health's Vaccination webpage. If you are not currently in Mississippi, contact your State’s Department of Health for vaccine sites. COVID-19 vaccines are also available at local drug stores and Walmart pharmacies.

GUIDELINES

To be eligible, students must submit proof of their COVID-19 vaccination (i.e., copy of your COVID-19 vaccination card or other acceptable records).

Students should upload proof of vaccination to the Student Vaccination Incentive Program Form by 11:59 pm on March 31, 2022.

The $250 will be disbursed directly to you using Bank Mobile after verifying your enrollment status and vaccination documentation.

The verification of the fully vaccinated documentation will be reviewed by the COVID-19 Director and/or Student Health Staff trained on COVID-19 protocols and medical confidentiality standards. Submitting false information might be deemed a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. If it is determined that a student has submitted false information during the verification process, they will be referred to the Office of Student Affairs.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Students must have received one dose (Johnson & Johnson) or two doses (Pfizer or Moderna) of the vaccine by March 31, 2022.
  • Students must be enrolled for at least one course for the Spring 2022 semester by the close of business on the day prior to the drawing.
  • Students awarded one prize are not eligible for additional prizes.
  • Students taking dual credit courses only are not eligible.
  • Students who are benefit-eligible employees of Mississippi Valley State University are not eligible.
  • Students who have obtained an accommodation from the University College ADA Coordinator regarding their vaccine status are eligible for entry and still must sign up for a vaccination to be entered into the drawing.

NOTES

  • Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash value.
  • Prizes, once accepted, are not transferable.
  • Students who accept a prize agree to allow their name and/or likeness to be used to publicly announce their prize status.
  • Prize options will be factored into the student's account as financial aid, and as such, could impact eligibility for other aid. The Office of Financial Aid is available to assist the student to ensure the award does not affect other aid received.
  • Prizes may be subject to certain date restrictions.
  • MVSU reserves the right to modify the list of incentives at any time.

FAQs

When will the drawing take place?

The drawing is scheduled to take place on October 2, 2021. Winners will also be notified via their MVSU e-mail accounts.

If my name is drawn will I get to select my prize?

Names will be drawn for specific incentives.

I'm vaccinated! How do I get my $250?

If I was fully vaccinated prior to the incentive plan being offered, am I eligible to receive the incentive?

Yes, if you meet all the other criteria.

When do I need to get my vaccine in order to meet the submission deadline?

Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines require two doses. The Moderna doses are 28 days apart, and the Pfizer doses are 21 days apart. It is required that the vaccination card uploaded shows proof of receiving BOTH doses of the vaccine by the March 31 deadline (1 if using Johnson & Johnson).
