Job Description:

 

Provides educational services to the University community, external agencies, and to the general public; evaluates academic credits and enters transfer of credits for transferring students; processes adjustments to students’ class schedule, including drop/adds, withdrawals from courses and from the University; provides assistance to facilitate the implementation of the registration processes; transmits electronically the enrollment data files to the National Student Clearinghouse; provides service/assistance to walk-in-clients, and, if necessary, directs them appropriately and professionally; keeps abreast of the changes in the academic programs as well as the University’s catalog; enters data to the Banner System; serves as the technical liaison between the Office of Student Records/University Registrar and the department of Information Technology (IT); generates reports related to academic standing, enrollment, withdrawals, and retention; prepares information for diplomas for graduating seniors and approved candidates; files education records/documents; responds to individual student registration issues; updates the Banner System to reflect all previous courses earned for readmit students.  Performs other related duties as required. 

 

Qualifications Desired:

Bachelor’s degree, master degree preferred, in business, computer science, or related experience and a minimum of three (3) years in the area of record keeping or any equivalent combination or related training and experience. Experience with the Banner SIS is desired.  Considerable knowledge of general office techniques and record keeping; general comprehensive planning skills desirable; exceptional technical (Microsoft Office) and interpersonal skills; highly motivated; ability to work extended hours and handle multiple tasks; ability to stay on task to ensure completion.
