Reporting a Crime

We encourage you to report all crimes and emergency to the Department of Safety and Security immediately. Faculty, staff, and visitors should call the MVSU Police Department. The University provides two telephone numbers (662)254-3478 and 254-3479. The Dispatcher will obtained all needed information an officer will then be dispatched as quickly as possible.
The office of safety and security is available for walk-in complaints. The office of Public Safety is opened 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can also contact one of the campus entry gates located at Valley of Scholar and Rosa Park Street. Anyone who is a victim of a crime is encouraged to report the crime to the MVSU Police Department.
