Courses to complete Summer Developmental Program
Students participating in the SDP will enroll in four (4) three-hour courses, for a total of 12 semester hours. The courses will not count toward graduation at any of the eight institutions.
The summer developmental courses are the following:
• Developmental English
• Developmental Reading
• Developmental Mathematics
• Learning Skills Laboratory
Academic Support Classes
The program is designed to assist students who successfully complete the SDP, as well as, their freshman courses. The Academic Support Program includes tutoring in various subject areas. The goal of this program is to provide individualized support to prepare students who are enrolled in regular academic credit courses.
What is the year-long academic support program?
The is program is designed to assist those students admitted with academic deficiencies, as well as other volunteer students, with their freshman courses. The Year-Long Academic Support Program will consist of classroom, individual, and computer-assisted instruction along with career counseling in a laboratory setting.
Summer Developmental Program Term and Dates
The nine-week term will begin immediately following Memorial Day. Students must be enrolled for the entire term to receive credit. June - August 2014.
