| Early Admissions |

| A secondary school student may be offered early admission at the end of the third year in high |
| school if the following criteria are met: |
| |
- At least a 3.20 grade point average on a minimum of 15 units completed toward the College Preparatory Courses
|
- A minimum composite ACT score of 20 or comparable SAT score and
|
- A letter of recommendation by the applicant's high school principal or counselor.

| Dual Admissions/Dual Credit Program |
| |
| Dual enrollment students are those high school students enrolled in high school and in MVSU |
| campus-based courses. Credits earned at MVSU are applicable to a college degree but not |
| towards high school graduation. |
| |
| Dual enrollment/dual credit students are those high school students enrolled in high school and in |
| MVSU. Credits earned at MVSU (normally in courses offered at the high school) are |
| applicable to both a college degree and high school gradation. This is an exceptional enhanced |
| learning opportunity for qualified students. |
| |
| Students may enter Mississippi Valley State University after their junior year in high school, |
| provided the meet the qualifications: |
- Verify a 2.5 grade point average on a scale on all high school courses, (documented with official high school transcript); a home-schooled student must submit a transcript prepared by a parent, guardian or custodian with a signed, sworn affidavit to meet the requirement; and
|
- A letter of recommendation for admission by your high school principal or counselor.

| Admission decisions are made as applications and supporting documents are received, therefore |
| early applications are encouraged. Information submitted to Mississippi Valley State University |
| must be true and accurate. The withholding of pertinent information or the submission of false |
| information may result in denial of admission or dismissal. The University reserves the right to |
| deny admission to any applicant and to forbid any previously admitted student continued |
| enrollment. |
