The Office of Career Services at Mississippi Valley State University is gearing up for its annual Teacher Recruitment Fair. This yearly fair will be held in the Jacob Aron Student Union – Vendor’s Square on Wednesday, April 9 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Professional attire is required and attendees are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume. The event is free and open to current students and MVSU alumni pursuing a professional career in education.
More than 20 school districts and educational organizations will have booths at the fair, including Cleveland, Coahoma County, Coffeeville, DeSoto County, Durant Public, Greenville Public, Humphreys County, Lee County, and McComb, Miss. Department of Education /Miss. Teacher Center, Natchez – Adams, North Panola, Quitman County, St. Louis, South Delta, Sunflower County, Teach Memphis/Shelby County, Tupelo, W.E. B. DuBois Consortium of Charter Schools, Webster County and West Bolivar.
Representatives are seeking applicants for a wide range of education certification areas, including administrators, speech-language pathologists, nurses, counselors and library media specialists.
