Biography

JERALD JONES ADLEY, PH.D.
Dr. Jerald Jones Adley, Vice President for Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Diversity is a native of Leland, Mississippi, born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. As Vice President, areas reporting directly to Dr. Adley include Residential Life, Comprehensive Counseling, Career Services, Student Union, Student Activities, Student Health Center, Intramurals, Financial Aid, Student Records, Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment, Student Support Services, Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, and The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Dr. Adley, a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet, has enjoyed a stellar career in higher education spanning the past 27 years. Among other positions, she has previously served as Dean of Students at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff; Interim Vice President for Student Affairs at Mississippi Valley State University; and as Vice President for Student Affairs at the College of Staten Island – The City University of New York.
Dr. Adley is a 1981 honor graduate of Jackson State University having received the Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She received the Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, and the Ph.D. in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University.
