Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Reporting directly to the President, the Chief of Staff will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations, activities, related budgets, and staff of the President’s Office. Essential job functions include: Acts as liaison between external and internal stakeholder and the President in the facilitation of requests for participation and input. Anticipates problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise and advises the President accordingly. Ensures readiness of the Presidents for events, meetings, and other engagements; managing the office staff and related budgets; drafting talking points and other confidential and/or executive correspondence on behalf of the President; responding to daily internal and external requests for information on behalf of the President; advising the President on issues of immediate and long-range concern; and performing other duties as assigned by the President. Some evening and weekend work is required.
This position requires a Master’s degree in higher education, educational leadership or other related field, with three or more years experience at the executive level; experience in higher education administration is highly desired
