Job Description:

The Director of University Relations and Development is responsible for working under the leadership and in collaboration with the Vice President for University Advancement in working to cultivate external relationships with potential donors; The Director will play a lead role in supporting the university’s fund raising programs in particular through the vehicles of major/leadership/special gifts, grants, and planned giving

Qualifications Required :

Bachelor’s degree, with three or more years fundraising and/or community/external affairs experience in a private, non-profit, governmental, political and/or higher educational setting;  A master’s degree is a plus; Experience as a high-leveled community affairs officer/official is preferred; familiarity with the development and moves management of a major gift portfolio in Higher Education is highly desired; proficient use of computers and appropriate software; experience using Banner Advancement/Development module is preferred; must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient knowledge  of CASE standards along with current fundraising and development policies best practices in higher education
