Job Description:

Teach graduate and undergraduate courses; participate in student advisement, registration, departmental and university-wide committee assignments; develop course syllabus for courses taught; Assess, document, and improve student learning through instruction and curriculum development; participate in professional development activities; Other duties as assigned by Department Chair

Qualifications Required :

Ph.D. in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, from a regionally accredited university required; a valid teaching licence k-12 subject area (preferably Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Reading, Science or Math); classroom experience at the k-12 level required; university teaching experience in the field of teacher education preferred; NCATE knowledge and experience preferred; knowledge of effective teaching strategies; knowledge and experience using technology in the classroom
