Job Description:

The department chair provides leadership for undergraduate and graduate programs; collaborate with faculty to develop long-range goals; monitor academic program offerings; implement policies and procedures; create and manage departmental budget; assist with data collection for reports and studies

Qualifications Required :

Terminal degree in Curriculum and Instruction with specialty in Elementary Education, Early Childhood or a K-12 subject area; or related field education; university teaching experience; and experience with accreditation activities; must have knowledge in effective teaching strategies; ability to conduct scholarly research; experience in K-12 setting familiarity with NCATE accreditation standards and processes
