Job Description: 


The candidate for this position is expected to teach a wide range of courses in our undergraduate and graduate curicula; will teach 12 credits undergraduate or 9 credits at the graduate level per semester, with opportunities to teach during the summer; ability to teach online course is preferred; areas of interest include, but are not limited to Criminal Justice, Criminology, Juvenile Justice, Corrections, and research methods; advising undergraduate and graduate students; serve on faculty governance and university committees; participate in program development and assessment; provide service to the Department, university, profession, and community. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to attract external funding and engage in scholarly activities. 


Qualifications Required : 

A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice or any closely related field; A.B.D. candidates may be considered, if all requirements for the Ph.D. will be completed within one year following assumption of duty.  A J.D. will not meet the minimum educational requirements for this position.
