Job Description:

Tenure track teaching position in History for Fall 2012, in the multidisciplinary Social Sciences Department at Mississippi Valley State University. Historian committed to teaching as a profession to teach undergraduate history courses, perform student advisement, and other department/university faculty related assignments; Instructional responsibilities are four courses per semester in the following areas of history: U.S. and World Civilization surveys and upper division courses in the candidate's field of expertise; Asian, European, Latin American and public history fields are particularly desired

Qualifications Required:

Candidates must show clear potential for effective teaching, research, community service, and grant writing; Ph.D. in hand at time of hire
