We have a potential for severe storms Tuesday and Wednesday as a cold front moves through the area that is expected to stall just south of I-20 before moving on through late this week. The window for storms in our district seems to be starting late Tuesday evening and continuing through Wednesday afternoon.
The primary severe weather risk with these storms will be damaging wind gusts at around 60 mph and quarter size hail. A few tornadoes may also be possible, mainly in the Delta Region Tuesday night through early Wednesday. In addition periods of heavy rain is also expected that could cause flooding in some areas.
