Devilettes get narrow win at Alabama A&M

NORMAL, Ala. -- The Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State won their second conference matchup Monday following a narrow 69-67 win at Alabama A&M (7-7, 2-2 SWAC).

Four of MVSU's starters scored in double-digits and the Devilettes (5-9, 2-1 SWAC) won their fifth game of the season. Khristina Clemons scored a season-high 15 points and six rebounds. The Little Elm, Texas native went 5-of-8 and 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

Alia Frank (11 points), Lenise Stallings (10) and De'Kisha Fondon (10) also had a good game for the Devilettes. Ka'Neisha Smith contributed nine points and four assists.

MVSU will return home for Saturday's showdown against Alcorn State at 2 p.m. for Greek Night. Fraternity and sorority members are asked to wear their respective organizations shirts for the game.
