ITTA BENA -- It might not have been pretty. But Mississippi Valley State got the job done.

The Delta Devils held on Saturday for a 60-54 victory over rival Jackson State at the Harrison HPER Complex. The win keeps the Delta Devils (9-11, 8-0 SWAC) at the top of the SWAC and pushed them to their best conference start in school history.
