One of Mississippi Valley
State's most anticipated games of the season is almost here. The
Devilettes and Delta Deviils will host Alcorn State on Saturday at the
Harrison HYPER Complex on the MVSU campus.
The women are set to tip at 2 p.m. and the men will follow at 4:30 p.m.
The
Devilettes (5-9, 2-1 SWAC), who are coming off a 69-67 win at Alabama

Valley in both points (10.4) and rebounds (5.4) per game this season.
2012's been good to Jones
Falando
Jones, the reigning SWAC Player of the Week, looks to stay hot and keep
the Delta Devils (4-11, 3-0 SWAC) undefeated in conference play and
atop the SWAC standings. The Greenwood, Miss. native is averaging 18.3
points over the last three games and has scored in double-figures in
each of MVSU's three matchups in 2012.
MVSU, the SWAC's highest
scoring team at 66.3 points per game, has outscored its conference
opponents by double-digits in two out of three games this season,
including a 15-point rout of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
