Mississippi Valley State quarterback Marvin Pittman (Clarksdale, Miss.) was named SWAC Newcomer of the Week after he rushed for season-high 127 yards and a TD for the Delta
Devils in a 30-24 overtime loss at Grambling. He also completed 7 of 15
passes for 65 yards and accounted for 192 yards of total offense.
