Season Tickets Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where can I purchase tickets for MVSU Football 2011?
Ticket will be available at various satellite ticket locations on and around campus prior to game day. Tickets maybe purchased in advance through the MVSU Ticket office or by calling (662) 254-3313.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance of game day and arrive early for all home games.

How do the new ticket prices affect the general game-day attendee?
Instead of having to purchase a ticket for the game, a parking permit, a tailgating permit, the fan can purchase an all in one ticket.
For example, an alumnus brings two of his adult friends and his son to the Alabama State game.  Three adult tickets, purchased in advance, are $45 while the kid’s ticket is $10.  On game day, the three adults tickets will be $60 and the children's ticket is $15.  Total cost of the four individuals is $55 dollars in advance and $75 on game day.
A basic family of four in an RV:  two adults @ $15 in advance, two kids @ $10 each, the RV parking pass @ $30 comes to a total of $80 in advance.  On game day, that same family would spend $40 for the adult tickets, $30 for the childrens' tickets and $30 for teh RV parking, coming to a tital of $100.
Please note ... for the Southern University, Jackson State and Texas Southern (Homecoming) games,  the ticket prices for adults will increase. It actually is cheaper for the group to purchase advance or season tickets.

How much money do I save buying a season ticket?
You save as much as 25% buying a season ticket compared to purchasing tickets on the day of game for individual contests. Or you can look at this way you are in effect getting one of the six games for free when you buy a season ticket.

What are the age requirements to attend a game at Rice-Totten Stadium?
Children age four and under may be held in an adult's lap and are not required to have a ticket to the game.

If I have a Student Parking Permit or Faculty-Staff Parking Permit will I have to pay to enter the Game Zone?
Only those who are not MVSU students must pay or if you don’t have a valid parking decal and or valid MVSU Student ID. Faculty and staff must have a valid MVSU parking decal and you are encouraged to purchase a MVSU Fringe Benefit Package to enter all MVSU athletic contests.

Which Zone will MVSU Students and Faculty Staff with valid parking decals and Athletic Passes enter?
Zone 5 North/West back of campus (Edna Horton parking lot and the Soccer field, RV and Students and Faculty/Staff parking decal). Zone 5 North/West is the back gate off Sunflower Road.

What are the expectations for fan behavior during the game?
The MVSU Delta Devils and Rice-Totten Stadium Policy is designed to benefit all fans - those who have come to enjoy the unrivaled excitement of SWAC and MVSU football. We do not want your day to be ruined by the unruly behavior of a thoughtless few. If your enjoyment of the game is being marred by the actions of someone around you, please notify stadium security personnel of the problem immediately. The actions of the alleged offender will then be monitored and, upon observation of the disturbance, corrective measures will be taken. Unruly behavior which will not be tolerated at any MVSU home game and, in some circumstances, will result in the offender's ejection from the stadium includes, but is not limited to:

• The obvious abuse of alcohol or other intoxicants.
• Fighting, taunting, or any action that may harm or endanger others in the Superdome.
• Refusal to extinguish smoking materials in locations where smoking is prohibited.
• Abusive or foul language and obscene actions.
• Any behavior resulting in the disruption of the game.
• Any other conduct deemed to be beyond the bounds of reason for a spectator attending a professional sporting event.

***Spectators who are arrested and repeat violators who are found to be season ticket holders may have their ticket privileges permanently revoked - regardless of whether or not the spectators or violators are the season ticket holders of record.

Can I re-sell my season tickets?
NO! The guidelines are VERY strict about this. You may not resell or scalp your tickets. If you try to sell them and are found guilty, you will not be offered season tickets in the future and your account will be closed at the end of the season. In addition, YOU are ultimately responsible for your tickets, so if you do sell or give them to someone who then sells them to a scalper, you will also have your account cancelled.
