Delta Devils sweep visiting Tougaloo

ITTA BENA, Mississippi -- The Mississippi Valley State baseball team swept the visiting Tougaloo College Bulldogs 14-2 and 13-3 in doubleheader action Saturday at Itta Bena's Magnolia Field.

In game one, MVSU scored five runs in the second and fourth innings en route to a 14-2 decision.  Michael Lowe and Jerry Hildreth went 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Derek Wallace scored four runs.  Luke Walker was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.  David Brauhn worked seven innings striking out three for the win.

In game two, an eight-run fifth inning crusied MVSU to a 13-3 win.  Scott Hornstra went 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI while Michael Lowe, Curtis Ford, and Kylie Ming each drove in two runs.
