Three Delta Devils Named All-Conference

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana -- Three members of the Delta Devil baseball team received all-conference honors when the team was released during the opening day of the 2010 SWAC Baseball Tournament.

Shortstop Jerry Hildreth and right fielder Donquarious Farmer were named to the first team while relief pitcher Cody Parker received second-team accolades.

Hildreth (5-6, 160, Jr., SS, Johnstown, Colorado) ended the regular season leading the team in several statistical categories.  He is currently batting .376 with a .445 on-base percentage.  He has team highs of 51 runs scored, 68 hits and 38 stolen bases while second on the team in runs batted in with 38.

Farmer (5-9, 165, Fr., RF, Louisville, Mississippi) struggled to start the season but came on strong as the season and his playing time progressed.  He is batting .274 on the season (.452 slugging percentage - 5th on team) with 26 runs scored, 34 hits, and 31 runs batted in (3rd on team.  He also has nine doubles and three home runs (t-2nd on team).

Parker (5-10, 180, Soph., RHP, Puckett, Mississippi) had the most appearances in the conference with 38 while holding opposing batters to a .205 batting average (team lead).  He has a 4.19 ERA with a 1-1 record and two saves.  He has struck out 42 batters in 38 2/3 innings of work.
