Dr. Tadessa Mengistu, Associate Professor

Tadesse Mengistu is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Business. He joined MVSU in August 2006. He teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses. Some of the courses that he has taught includes BA 211, Principles of Economics I, BA 212, Principles of Economics II; BA 205, Business Statistics; BA 331, Money and Banking; BA 421, International Business; BA 602, Managerial Economics; BA 624, Financial Analysis; BA 632, Globalization and the New Global Economy; and BA 655, Strategic Management. His research focus is in the area of International Trade, Economic Development, Labor Economics, Money and Banking, International/Global Business, and Industrial Organization (Supply Chain Economics). He has published papers in the area of international trade and economic development. Dr. Mengistu has served in various departmental and university committees including the Library Committee, Departmental Curriculum Committee and the Faculty Senate. He is a member of the American Economic Association, the National Association of Business Economics, the Southern Economic Association, Academy of Finance and Economics, and Delta Mu Delta- MVSU.
