Kai T. Osborne-Brown is an assistant professor of political science at Mississippi Valley State University(MVSU). She has completed all course work for a doctorate in political science from Clark Atlanta University and is currently conducting research for her dissertation. She received a Master's of Art degree in political science from Jackson State University. Her Master's Thesis was entitled "Black Political Empowerment in Greenwood, Mississippi." She received her undergraduate degree in political science from Tougaloo College. Before joining MVSU as a full-time faculty member, Kai Osborne-Brown had a teaching assistantship at Clark Atlanta University, was a research assistant at Jackson State University, and an adjunct professor of political science at Mississippi Valley State University and Atlanta Metropolitan College. Kai Osborne-Brown’s teaching interests include Black Politics, Women in Politics, American National Government and teaching courses on Blackboard (online). Her teaching areas include Black Politics, Women in Politics American National Government, State and Local Government, Introduction to Political Science, American National Government, Politics of Marginalized Groups, American Chief Executive, and Legislative Politics. Kai Osborne-Brown is a member of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists; Greenwood Voter's League, the Greenwood, Mississippi's Branch of the NAACP, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
