SO 212 SOCIAL PROBLEMS. Focuses on conceptualization, definitions of a social problem and theories that may be used to explain a specific social problem and possible eradication. 3

SO 213. SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. It focuses on: the impact of groups on individuals, behaviors. 3

SO 218. SOCIOLOGY OF EDUCATION. It focuses on: group’s norms and values on educational outcomes of individuals. 3

SO 301. INTRODUCATION TO ANTHROPLOGY. A study of the origin and development of the human species. 3

SO 312. DEVIANT BEHAVIOR. Focuses on behavior that exceeds the range of tolerable or permissible behavior. 3

SO 321 CULTURAL & RACIAL MINORITIES. Focuses on interaction between majority and minority group members. 3

SO 322 POPULATION PROBLEMS. Focuses on population problems with regard to birth rate, death range, sex ration, migration and food supply. 3

SO 330. MARRIAGE AND THE FAMILY. Design to provide students with a wide coverage of cross-cultural and historical material on the human family. 3

SO 331 CRIMINOLOGY. Focus on the scientific study of crime and criminal behavior. 3

SO 332 PROBLEM OF THE FAMILY. Goes beyond SO 211 and provides an examination of some significant concepts and theories in Sociology. 3

SO 341. INTRODUCATION TO SOCIAL RESEARCH. A scientific analysis of the general field of research in the social sciences. 3

SO 400. SPECIAL PROBLEMS. Independent research on topics of special interest to students. 3

SO 401. SOCIOLOGY OF THE COMMUNITY. A review of some of the classical studies on communities. Each student is expected to do original research on community. 3

SO 403. SOCIAL PROBLMES. An analysis of the impact of social disorganization on human society. 3

SO 409. SEMINAR IN SOCIOLOCIAL THEORY. Course focuses on books, essays etc. on Sociological theory for critical Analysis. A written paper is required. 3

SO 453. ADVANCED SEMINAR IN SOCIAL RESEARCH. The scientific analysis and application in sociological research methods. Prerequisite: SO. 341. 3
