Goals

1. To provide all students in the University with basic courses in composition, writing, and literature;
2. To prepare future teachers of English for middle and high schools;
3. To prepare students for graudate study in English and related fields;
4. To develop in students analytical and communication abilities in the study of English language and literature;
5. To provide general knowledge necessary in a multi-cultural and technological world; and
6. To develop in students skills in foreign languages and computer literacy.
